Daniel “D.R.” Randle is a native of Memphis, TN and has been the pastor at CRBC since May of 2008.  Sensing a call to the ministry since he was a teenager, D.R. went off to college to pursue a degree in Religion and Psychology at Union University in Jackson, TN.  In 2003, D.R. graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a M.Div. in Biblical Studies.  He met his wife, Brandi, while doing additional theological studies at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.  They were married in 2005 and welcomed their first child, Calvin Eugene, on December 30, 2009.  Brandi currently serves as an R.N. in the Cardiovascular ICU Step-Down Unit at Athens Regional Medical Center.

When he’s not pastoring, D.R. enjoys reading, weight training, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and newborn son.  Some of his favorite books include, Desiring God by John Piper, The Race Set Before Us by Tom Schreiner and Ardel Caneday, and Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem.  To read a word from D.R. and hear more about his heart and vision for CRBC click here, or check out his blog, “Christ and Culture.”

Staff Pics 004Robert Schwartz is CRBC’s Director of Celebrate Recovery.  Robert has been a member of Cleveland Road since moving to Athens a few years ago.  A native of Valdosta, GA, Robert has a powerful testimony of how God has transformed his life from one who was addicted to drugs to one who helps others recover from their addictions.  Robert was a participant when the Celebrate Recovery at Prince Avenue Baptist Church here in Athens began.  When Prince moved to its current location in Bogart, GA, Celebrate Recovery began meeting at CRBC. At this point Robert took over as director and the ministry has grown ever since.  In 2009, Robert became the State Representative of Celebrate Recovery for East-Central Georgia.  Currently, Robert is seeking to become a Licensed Addiction Counselor and is completing his supervised counseling hours at Penfield Christian Home in Union Point, GA.

When Robert isn’t leading the Celebrate Recovery ministry or working at Penfield, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Leigh, and their two children, Devon and Megan.  To read more about Robert and Celebrate Recovery see the CR page on our website.

Staff Pics 002Priscilla Catoe is CRBC’s very gifted pianist.  She is a native of Athens who fondly remembers the time she spent working in her father’s famous A&A Bakery.  And even though the bakery closed, many people still stop Priscilla and tell her how much they enjoyed some delicacy her father created.  Priscilla is a graduate of the University of Georgia (Bachelor of Fine Arts), and she earned her Master’s of Sacred Music at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. After a short stint in South Carolina, where she met her husband, Sonny, she returned to Athens and served in churches throughout the area. Additionally, she served as the Music Director for the Sarepta Baptist Association for a time.

Priscilla leads our Ladies’ Sunday School, The Joy Class, and loves going with the Ladies on outings each month.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Sonny, and their son, Lee, and his family.

Staff Pics 003Leigh Schwartz is our Church Secretary.  Leigh has been a member of our Church for many years now, first coming with her family as a teenager.  After moving to North Carolina, Leigh met Robert and lived there for a time, but soon found her way home to Georgia and CRBC.  You can catch Leigh at the Church on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Leigh also helps Robert with Celebrate Recovery and is the leader of the Women’s Co-Dependency Group.  When Leigh isn’t busy with all that she does at CRBC, she spends time with her family and works to keep Robert in line.
